Cara Curphey.

I am the founder of Albion Consulting. I have over 20 years of accounting experience in both corporate and start-up environments and as a freelancer. ​​Until 2017 I was the Director of Operations at a tech start-up in San Francisco, but when that was acquired I took some time off to think about what came next. I decided that I was happiest when working as a bookkeeper and consultant, so decided to go back to my accounting roots and start a bookkeeping and consulting practice to help business owners understand and better control their business.

Originally from Brighton in the UK, I have lived in the US since 2000. My family and I have lived on both the east and west coast, and in the both the south-east and north-west corners of the US. I moved to Mill Valley, CA in 2015 after spending 6 years in Seattle, where I worked as a ​freelance bookkeeper to a diverse portfolio of small business clients. This time around I have found that my start-up experience has led me to have mainly tech based clients: SaaS, AI, wearable tech, or service providers to start-ups. I guess it comes with the territory.
